Welcome to Hometown USA!In July 1966, the Verona Press printed a letter from a local Vietnam serviceman proclaiming that his division, the Army 101st Airborne, had adopted Verona as "Hometown USA." Today, Verona continues to provide the quality of life and sense of community to its citizens that those soldiers recognized more than 35 years ago. Only 5 miles southwest of Madison's influence, Verona is uniquely positioned to offer the benefits of a metropolitan entertainment center one day and a hometown fair the next.
